PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The MFOM Automated Test Engineer will ensure the operational functionality of the MFOM software releases by focusing on all aspects of quality assurance, technical design analysis, developing and creating test plans, and automated test cases as well conducting test events for product features. The Automated Test Engineer will work with NIWC stakeholders, development and support teams to ensure comprehensive (both automated and manual) testing is conducted in an Agile fashion.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Decomposes system level requirements into comprehensive test cases and test routines
• Develops and executes test plans and test cases based on established system requirements and use cases
• Develops test reports outlining test results, defects and regression test requirements
• Enters defects and software problem reports into the applicable tracking system for escalation/remediation

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess an active Secret clearance.
• 3 plus years' experience with software testing and quality assurance in the development of software applications.
• 2 plus years' experience developing test automation scripts or programs.
• 2 plus years' experience developing regression, user acceptance, and nonfunctional testing.
• Up to 25% travel will be required
• Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months.

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with testing in an Agile methodology environment
• Experience conducting testing in cloud technology platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
