We are looking for a Senior Network Attached Storage (NAS) Engineer/Administrator for our storage team. This position will support our data centers as well as our field site file services environments and will require regular after hours and weekend work.
Positions in this function review, analyzes, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale computer system. Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. This function provides expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing applications, and overall operating systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability
- Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems
- Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications
- Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications
- Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics
- Participates in the development of business strategy
- Develops and manages business plans to achieve objectives
- Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
- Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
- Start Here:
- Provide day to day support for the NAS (Network Attached Storage) and Object Storage environment
- Fulfill requests for NAS and Object Storage as well as troubleshoot/resolve NAS/ Object Storage alerts/issues
- Assist with the forecasting and planning of NAS and Object Storage capacity, utilization, and consumption
- Coordinate and perform NAS hardware/software installations, configurations, and upgrades, with an emphasis on NetApp and IBM Cloud Object Storage (ICOS)
- Identify requirements and work with NAS, Object Storage for NetApp and IBM products on all phases of the procurement process
- Represent the NAS and/or Object storage team during meetings, discussions with other teams and when assigned as a project resource
- Participate in 24/7 On Call rotation

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years experience administering Network Attached Storage (NAS) Systems
- 3+ years experience with local & remote storage replication
- 3+ years experience with CIFS, NFS, and FTP protocols
- 1+ years of Object Storage experience
Preferred Qualifcations:
- College Degree
- Heavy NetApp experience with NetApp certification
- 1+ year of scripting experience
- Enterprise class storage administration experience (SAN or NAS or Object Storage)
- Windows File Server experience
- Active Directory experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
