Position Summary
As the Sr. Operations Manager, you will lead key strategic projects across the business, working cross-functionally to implement solutions, troubleshoot problems and monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives. Directs the day-to-day warehouse operation and assists in the development of the warehouse supervisory personnel to support the client requirements toward obtaining optimum efficiency and economy of processes in order to maximize profits. Lead a team of warehouse supervisors and customer service personnel in a fast-paced, warehouse environment. Manages all facets of warehouse operations and ensures systems, processes, and reporting are aligned to meet customer requirements. Helps formulate operating policies and procedures for the distribution operations, which ensure the effective and efficient operation in the receiving, storing, and shipping of customers’ products and in compliance with the required guidelines of the customer.

• Monitor work intake, productivity, and projects and assign work to the team accordingly.
• Monitor and manage work inventories to ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to meet performance guarantees and established goals are met and maintained.
• Communicate organizational and functional strategy and translate into individual and team goals, to ensure that team activities contribute to overall success of the business
• Develop and foster a coordinated, cohesive department that achieves measurable results Facilitate cooperation and develop relationships with internal departments and customers to achieve shared business goals
• Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Continuously improve operational procedures such as verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and dispositioning merchandise, and maintaining warehouse inventory
• Partner with inventory control, and operations support to ensure availability of products
• Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management
• Facilitate the achievement of prescribed company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding cost, productivity, customer service, profits, and team members
• Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations to establish and practice a culture of safety among the team members at all times
• Analyze operational reports to identify trends and recommend solutions to management
• Build and maintain partnerships with other departments i.e. Finance, HR.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policy and regulatory and legal requirements. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees;

• Champions and fosters employee involvement, high collaboration and teamwork. Hands on leadership; regularly engages with all employees. Upholds company culture and values.
• Establishes and frequently reviews developmental action plans that promote positive growth for the individual and strengthens succession planning initiatives.

• Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotion, wage increases and other performance related actions such as verbal and written counseling notices, discipline, and termination of employment.
• Strong leadership skills including a collaborative, decisive, and engaging leadership style. Builds strong, trust-based, positive relationships with internal and external constituents.
• Seeks out and listens to others’ ideas and suggestions. Provides clear and concise feedback to direct reports, peers and senior leaders.

• 4-year Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of operational experience
• Proven effective leadership experience in managing senior managers and non-exempt employees.
• Knowledge of distribution and compliance

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills

• Very thorough knowledge of Operations Management
