Serves as the regional Senior Field Service Representative (FSR) for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as part of a fast-paced team tasked with Life Cycle Sustainment Activities (LCSA). Oversees personnel for region and ensure effective collaboration with government POC and project leadership for regional requirements. Manage, conduct, and train in biometrics and SOF site exploitation activities.

  • Liaises with project leadership to ensure effective communication of regional activities both up and down the chain of command in support of program delivery.
  • Performs regional focused programmatic management tasks as assigned in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Provides regional activity reports and identify regional requirements/needs and report to project leadership.
  • Maintains proficiency in new identity intelligence equipment, TTP, training requirements, Provide supervision of regional staff, including tasking of activities, tracking reports, and maintaining performance expectations.
  • Participates and oversees the configuration, maintenance, and utilization of biometric and forensic equipment in both the office and field environments.
  • Advises, assisst, and demonstrates on equipment and software upgrades; draft reports; and maintain records.
  • May be required to conduct CONUS and OCONUS EAC inspections (current lab locations in Iraq, Djibouti, Afghanistan, Guam, ASASOC, and MARSOC).
  • Maintains and monitors team proficiency in new identity intelligence equipment, TTP, training requirements, data sources, and production requirements.
  • Serves as Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) subject matter expert for planning fielding, training, employment, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, updating, and evaluation activities.
  • Provides SSE SME assistance during the Information Assurance Certification process for SSE hardware and software tools.
  • Supports the development, documentation, and training of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) for employment of biometric, forensic, CELLEX, and MEDEX hardware and software tools.
  • Researches, develops, and presents written products and briefings to tactical, command and executive-level audiences as requested.
  • Ensures and provides SME support to SOF Tactical Biometric, Tactical Forensic, Tactical Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) evaluations (TBE, TFE, TDE), and other identity program related evaluations as part of the SSE program of record technology refresh effort.
  • Provides instruction on the process for replacing or refurbishing biometric and forensic collection equipment through the SOF Sustainment Asset Visibility Information Exchange (SSAVIE) portal.
  • Provides instruction on the process for submitting trouble tickets, requisitions, and transferring biometric collection equipment to SSAVIE via the supported units, Property Book Officer (PBO).
  • Utilizes, briefs, and trains the Joint Operations Stocks (JOS) program in the areas of JOS loan policy, JOS loan procedures for obtaining equipment, JOS accountability/property book reporting process, and JOS service and equipment turn-in.
  • Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications


Associate's Degree in intelligence, computer science, law enforcement, or forensic science related fields and 2 years of experience and/or equivalent combination of military experience, training/education and related experience required.

Departmental Requirements


Experience with sensitive government programs and initiatives.

One and a half (1.5) years biometric collection or analytical experience in Special Operations Forces (SOF) or Special Mission Units (SMUs).
Six (6) months experience in one of the following: biometrics technology, classroom or field instruction in biometrics, coordinating biometrics or cellular/media exploitation OR graduate of minimum one course taught at the Joint Exploitation Training Center (JETC), Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC.

Experience with USSOCOM's web-based exploitation portal (SOFEX) and Identity Intelligence.

Graduate of SEEK II Maintenance course and/or BioSled course training; XRY Trainers course; and Site Exploitation Training Course.

Experience with cellular telephone extraction/equipment, computer data extraction and analysis, latent finger print lifting, trace element and explosives detection, and DNA/RDNA collection/processing.

Desired Qualifications


Three (3) years biometric or forensic operational collection or analytical experience in Special Operations Forces (SOF) or Special Mission Units (SMUs).

Knowledge, skill, or certification(s) necessary to inspect, troubleshoot, make minor hardware and software corrections, or coordinate repair/replacement of Special Operations Forces biometric, forensic, and DOMEX collection and EAC equipment.

Recent operational experience with latent print collection, iris scanning, and facial recognition.
