Senior Technical Associate
Here at the University of Rochester’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) we take pride in being a national resource for research and education in both science and technology! Our focus is on using lasers to create fusion energy and high energy density physics! We are looking for people who want to make a difference; individuals with passion and drive to become part of our team! We are looking for our next Senior Technical Associate.
As a Senior Technical Associate, you will build, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot experimental systems that are used to purify small quantities of hydrogen. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining systems used for experiments with tritium. Strong attention to detail is essential!
- vacuum technology

- high-purity gas handling
You’re a great candidate for this role if you have experience in:
- control systems
- machining
- data acquisition
- diagnostics
- CAD drawings
- Masters degree and 3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
