We are looking for an outstanding Staff Accountant to join our wealth management firm! This is an opportunity to work in a small accounting department (four people) directly with our Corporate Controller, who has many years of experience and a CPA. She is a strong mentor who invests in her team members; you will grow in this position and advance in your career. You will have the ability to be cross-trained and gain exposure to a wide variety of different responsibilities.
The Staff Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with the Senior Staff Accountant and other Staff Accountant. Responsibilities will primarily be:
- Process timely high volume expense reports via Concur
- Prepare monthly invoices for consulting affiliate and track A/R
- Prepare B&O and Personal Property Tax filings
- Research state tax rates and state business licensing requirements
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare financial statements and balance sheet supporting schedules
- Prepare draft audited financial statements complete with notes
- Liaise with external auditors and tax preparers as needed
- Complete ad hoc projects from the Controller and other accounting team members
