Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and responsible Staff Accountant to support our growing biotechnology company. This role is responsible for preparation of various account reconciliations and journal entries for the close process. Other duties may include reviewing and processing accounts payable, reviewing and processing expense reports, and miscellaneous accounting and administrative duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
These may include but are not limited to:
- Support month-end close process, including data entry, reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the general ledger, maintenance of account reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries
- Manage accounts payable functions, including data entry, matching invoices with supporting documents and processing payment of invoices and expense reports
- Maintain accounts payable files and records, and reconcile vendor statements promptly and accurately
- Complete special projects, financial analyses and other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Required:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent with minimum of 2 years of related experience
Preferred:
- Minimum of 4 years of accounts payable / accounting experience, preferably in life science industry
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, QuickBooks and/or NetSuite experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, maintain positive attitude and meet deadlines
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and responsibilities of this job. Travel:
You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.
The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $63,078 - $71,300
In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
