General Description:

This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Financial Reporting, and other related finance projects.

• Perform monthly accounting closes for multiple Hotel properties including account reconciliations; bank reconciliations; trend analysis and P&L accruals
• Interact with Property accountants in identifying accounting adjustments necessary
• Record various bank activity
• Research Credit Card Deposit Discrepancies with property- Ongoing
• Prepare Monthly sales and Occupancy tax returns
• Assist in Accounts Payable processing and review
• Assist in Special projects directed by CFO
• Review Medical insurance invoices and coordinate appropriate employee deductions with Payroll
• Maintain accounting spreadsheets for prepaid exps, inventories, and other Balance sheet accts
• Visit Hotel Properties and coordinate projects with Property accountants
• Set up new Properties in Company’s accounting software
• Roll over Daily Revenue reports in Company’s accounting software
• Assist in production of weekly Flash reports
• Coordinate maintenance of automated recording of payroll labor distribution reports
• Abide by end of month closure deadlines
• Prepare necessary year-end AJEs for submission to outside tax accountants
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requested:

• 5 yrs Accounting Experience in hotel accounting
• Accounting degree a plus
• Computer savvy
• Skilled with Excel worksheets
• Familiarity with M3 accounting software a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Independent thinker and problem solver
