SCOPE:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the work necessary to maintain accounting records for the firm, produce monthly financial reports and provide informative financial analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and process bank reconciliations for all property and home entities accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Work with other accounting departments to resolve open items; cross train with other Accountants to support the department as necessary.
  • Work with community managers to obtain copy of current permits and maintain property permit database.
  • Assist in submitting draw packages to lenders and lender NOI audits as needed.
  • Ensure all park permits paid on a timely basis.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly draws.
  • Assist Senior Accountant and Controller as needed.
  • Completes additional special projects as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience;
  • College degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA preferred;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Process oriented;
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and adept at learning new software programs;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple assignments;
  • Able to work independently and as a team member;
  • Results driven;

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently required to sit; Occasionally required to talk or hear; While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.

COMPENSATION: $60,000.00-$65,000.00/ Yr. (Based on experience)
