A Staff Accountant job in Tacoma, WA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors, (MITER Brands). This position will assist with accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance reporting, data maintenance, audit and tax compliance, and other duties as assigned. The annual compensation range is $72,000.00 to $112,000.00, depending on experience. Staff Accountant job responsibilities include:

• Perform general ledger accounting and month-end accounting functions, including journal entries and worksheets to support month-end results
• Prepare monthly, quarterly & yearly accruals
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid, intangibles, and follow up on account discrepancies
• Assist with business license management and liaison with the third-party processor
• Assist with maintenance of workflows and chart of account mappings
• Assist with expense reports and credit card administration, including reconciliation and review tasks
• Assist with unclaimed property research and filings
• Run and distribute financials/reports
• Assist with audit requests and tax schedules as needed
• Perform other projects as required

Requirements

• 2 plus years of accounting/finance experience
• Strong Excel skills and automated financial systems experience along with Microsoft Office
• Experience in large ERP systems is strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred
• Ability to read and analyze general ledger, accounting reports, and financials
• Sense of urgency and self-motivation, ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience
