Job description
Outdoor Voices is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Review inventory transactions and prepare monthly inventory roll-forwards
- Perform financial statement analysis and ensure transactions are properly reflected and in accordance with GAAP
- Support audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility and ensure fulfillment of audit requests
- Participate in process improvement projects to increase efficiencies and enhance the internal controls
- Assist with accounts payable processing and maintaining vendor records
- Support leadership in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, month-end close experience preferred
- Strong knowledge and application of GAAP
- Experience with Netsuite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Inventory or CPG experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
