Position Summary

The Staff Accountant under the supervision of the Accounting Manager prepares general ledger entries; reviews payables, disbursements, and receivables; performs reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank and investment statements; assists with grant reporting, preparation of monthly financial statements and annual audits and maintaining the general ledger; performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• One year accounting and payroll experience
• A solid understanding of the accrual method of accounting
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Great Plains accounting software experience a plus
• Remote work experience
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with and ability to use Microsoft Office software and internet.
• Ability to use general office equipment such as multi-line phone system, personal computer, photocopier, fax, etc.)
• Successfully pass background check and drug screen.

The Staff Accountant is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position typically working Monday through Friday business hours (some flexibility may be offered). This is a remote/hybrid or on-site position in Cottonwood, AZ.
