Job Description Summary
Manages and coordinates administrative and office functions. Acts as a liaison with University campus offices and local entities. Works collaboratively with Associate Director of Admissions assisting potential new students. Serves as the liaison for the Charleston and Charleston NWS education centers. Collects data for reporting and report preparation. Maintains all necessary paperwork associated with staff, instructors, and students as necessary and required. Also responsible for other duties as assigned by the Center Director. Occasional evening hours as needed for special events.
Job Description
DUTIES AND TASKS:
  • Business Administration
    • Classroom procurement and designation for scheduled courses.
    • Daily retrieval, receipt documenting, and distribution of all Office mail.
    • Tracking of Program Update Requests, or PURs, as required.
    • Assisting with admissions process for new students.
    • Assisting continuing students as needed.
    • Assisting Center Director with other responsibilities as assigned.
  • General Administration
    • Assist with general record-keeping for enrollment verification,
    • Assist Center Director with preparation and submission of base clearances and pass documentation as assigned.
    • Answer phones, return calls in a timely fashion, greet customers.
    • Manage e-mail inbox for education centers.
    • Assisting with purchase orders, vendor contracts, and invoices for the Centers.
    • Procuring and maintaining appropriate inventory of office supplies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skills:
  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, to include specific proficiencies in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Abilities:
  • Ability to plan and organize work with minimal supervisory direction or guidance.
