Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking professionals with a background in Information Technology support for an exciting opportunity as a Staff PC Support Assistant with our IT Department.
The successful applicant will:
- Provides technical, operations, and training support to users of the company’s personal computers either by telephone or on-site relative to micro hardware and software packages.
- Performs hardware diagnostics and coordinates repairs.
- Assists in planning and designing PC support systems.
- Acts as liaison for data transfer systems design and implementation.
- Installs, tests, and documents applications software programs.
- Provides technical (tier 1 level) support for personal computers.
- Image machines for a supported staff
Staff PC Support Assistant Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizen with eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- 2 – 3 years of related experience
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance
Staff PC Support Assistant Position Preferences:
- Associate’s degree; 3.0 GPA or better
- Security+ certification
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver
Team Information:
The successful applicant will become a member of an IT Support team that provides tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 level support to several divisions within ARA. The local IT Support team supports approximately.
