Virtual Hours:

June 29 - July 20, 2023 - 4 hours/day 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT

Fall – Spring, 2023, 1 hour/week

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with participants in the virtual classroom under the teacher’s direction, including setting up Zoom and Google classrooms and using other online tools.
• Integrate technology and online materials in the classroom workflow
• Perform administrative duties as needed including preparing materials, formatting documents, ordering supplies, writing emails, etc.
• Handle participant information and maintain confidentiality
• Plan and assist teachers in management of complex projects
• Work with participants and demonstrate positive behavior and support.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities

• Prior Language Teacher Assistant experience preferred
• Candidate must be a high school graduate or rising high school senior
• Proficiency in Russian language at least at Intermediate level in speaking and writing
• Experience working as a team member to solve problems and develop and implement quality programming
• Proficient in setting and administering Zoom, Google Meet meetings, and online instructional tools and technology
• Express self clearly, both orally and in writing
• Exhibit high level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information
