Job Overview

The Dishwasher/ Steward is responsible for maintaining all silverware, glassware, dinnerware, pots, pans, etc. clean and appropriately stored according standards. In addition, provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, and courtesy to guests and colleagues.

Essential Functions

• Washes, stocks and organizes dishes and maintains the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, stewarding and surrounding areas to health department standards.
• Assist chefs and front of the house managers in any projects that need to be done.
• Maintains storerooms, walk-ins, banquet kitchen, EDR, and any food and beverage areas are clean and organized.
• Communicates effectively with kitchen and restaurant staff.
• Is familiar with all property amenities and other F&B outlet menus and hours of operation.
• Is knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies.
• Communicates all pertinent information to the department managers, including stewarding logs.
• Identifies and reports all maintenance issues to the Stewarding Manager or Chef.
• Creates cost saving controls, ensures economical and safe use of supplies and equipment.
• Upholds all safety standards.
• Is able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Is able to lift, push, and pull a maximum of 10 lbs.
• Is able to stand/walk up to 6-8 hours per day.
• Is a team player and interacts with all guests and fellow Associates in a positive and friendly manner.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Stewarding experience preferred in a fine dining restaurant.
