Description

Looking for an energetic, positive person to join the UNC Surgical Services Business Office at UNC Medical Centre. Inventory of assigned supply areas (count/order/stock). Deliver and stock shelf supplies in a neat, orderly manner. Keep the storeroom and stock areas clean and orderly at all times, in the correct bins, and within expiration dates. Establish and maintain a good professional rapport with clinical management, staff, administration, nursing personnel, and all other hospital departments and services. Work within a team structure at the Medical Center to ensure all services provided by the department are covered. This position requires excellent customer service & communication skills. This job will require multitasking, initiative & ability to adapt to changes in work environment & service needs. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Director or Supply Chain Supervisor.

This is a 40 hour a week position; Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm (Day shift) available at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. This position qualifies for a generous benefit package including PTO accrual based upon the number of hours hired to work.

Summary:
Receives, orders, inventories, stores and issues items (food, drugs, equipment, chemicals, products, etc.) throughout the facility and off-site locations. This position performs these duties in both patient and non-patient related care areas and is assigned to a variety of departments throughout UNC Hospitals.

Responsibilities:
1. Assists with patient and other transportation as requested
2. Loads and unloads supplies. Packs and unpacks items to be stocked.
3. Maintains invoices and other records.
4. Maintains storage areas in safe, neat and clean condition
5. Receives, orders, inventories, stores and distributes supplies
6. User consultation-meets with users to fulfill needs.
