Job Description

HilltopSecurities is currently looking to hire a Stock Transfer Operations Specialist in our Dallas, Texas headquarters. This position requires a team-oriented player who is detail oriented with the ability to prioritize their workload to meet daily deadlines.The Operations group is a collection of sub-departments which is responsible for everything after an account is opened or a trade occurs. The Operations group's responsibilities include opening customer accounts, account maintenance, receiving and delivering money and securities to customers, and much more. This role is responsible for supporting the back-office processing related to stock transfer, including, but not limited to, processing DRS, DWAC and pre-registration requests. The specialist will also support alternative investment processing as needed. Stock Transfers processing incudes stock deposits, stock transfers and clearing restricted and 144A securities. Alternative Investment processing consists of submitting direct purchases and redemptions to the Issuer, posting dividends, and handling re-registrations.

Essential Functions

Perform re-registration of certificates and security denomination breakdowns
Process DRS and DWAC instructions
Perform daily Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) checks
Complete 144A legend removals
Reconcile and post transfer agent fees
Interface with the custodians, transfer agents and brokers to resolve day to day issues and ensure timely resolution of all activities and transactions
Responsible for daily status reporting and communication with the Supervisor
Includes supervisory responsibilities
Perform other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1 – 2 years of industry experience in Financial Services Operations, Securities Processing and/or Transfer Agent
Knowledge of Brokerage Firm Operations specifically focused on securities processing
Previous Stock Receipts/ Transfers operations experience preferred
Working knowledge of DTCC Deposit/Withdrawal at Custodian (DWAC) and Direct Registration System (DRS)
Firm understanding of Legal Deposit processing and the Security Information Center (SIC)
Alternative Investment Product experience is a plus
Knowledge of SunGard Phase 3 and WealthStation is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel
Customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workload to meet daily deadlines
Quick learner, team player with ability to work well in fast paced environment
Ability to quickly and accurately solve complex problems
Able to work additional hours and/or flexible shift assignments when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
