Stokes Group Exercise Instructor
Job description
The Stokes Family YMCA is seeking an energetic Group Exercise instructor who is certified in multiple classes. The instructor must be motivating, engaging and have a desire to help others in their fitness journey. In addition, be a strong relationship builder who will help people reach their goals while having fun. The instructor must also do the following:
- Creates a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide valuable information and support to members
- Keeps accurate class attendance records
- Attends required training sessions, workshops and staff meetings
Schedule varies.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Appropriate certifications for classes taught; one to three months related experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong member engagement skills; outgoing personality and a desire to be helpful to others
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/Oxygen administration or obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Other YMCA-required training and certifications, as applicable
