Job description
Hourly position that helps the Warehouse Supervisor in maintaining an effective and efficient institutional warehouse operation ensuring an adequate inventory level of approved items in compliance with DOC and institutional policy and procedure. Assist with ensuring all goods and materials are properly received, properly documented, stored and/or distributed in compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements. Assists the Warehouse Supervisor with maintaining a perpetual inventory system. Assist with the physical inventory of warehouse items. Maintains safety and security and sanitation of warehouse operation. Ensures all staff and offender workers are properly trained, supervised and monitored.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Knowledge/experience with TMS inventory system. Previous supervisory experience. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel. Ability to operate a Forklift and/or tractor. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse/stockroom experience is preferred.
