Summary

The Strategic Account Manager drives growth in net sales and profits and helps define customer and industry standards for products. For the assigned accounts, this position is an ambassador/lead point of contact on a national basis; involves problem solving, contract negotiation for pricing, development of customer specific agreements, and account strategies.

Role + Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop corporate to plant level stakeholders that are responsible for driving overall business opportunities.
  • In conjunction with local, regional, and non-USA sales support personnel:
    • Meet with corporate and plant level personnel.
    • Develop account development plans.
    • Establish action items for sales growth.
    • Identify projects and coordinate in conjunction with project teams.
    • Align sales activity in support of the overall growth for Endress+Hauser USA.
  • Work with international Sales Center, international strategic resources, and Production Center personnel to ensure worldwide coverage of key account interests.
  • Define specific development plans to sustainably grow the business within the strategic locations.

Qualification + Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years relevant experience or 7-10 years relevant experience in sales
  • Experience managing a sales team
  • Marketing and account development experience
  • Relationship management experience
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • High-level sales and/or marketing experience
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make decisions
  • Ability to create and manage budgets
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
