Position Description: Under the direction and supervision of the Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator of Student Housing, the mail Room Assistant is to provide mail service for on campus residents. S tudent must be available to work M-F 6-8pm Position Responsibilities: 45.00% - Processing, sorting and putting mail and package slips in appropriate boxes. 45.00% - Handing out packages 5.00% - Administration 5.00% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned Expectations: Ability to alphabetize Ability to operate a computer and knowledge and operation skills in "Excel" and "Word" Good organizational skills and flexiblity Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Experience working with young adults Education - Enrolled in applicable Barton credit hours during the fall and spring semesters Physical Requirements: The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with lighter activities.

Job requires minimal agility and dexterity. Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings. Regular exposure to unfavorable environments such as: weather. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as masks, coats, gowns, boots, googles, gloves, and, or shields.
