Engineering Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-3 years experience in Supplier Quality and development.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to manage the operational performance of the supply base. The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage relationships with suppliers, develop plans to assess and mitigate risks in the supply chain and lead suppliers to achieve the required levels of operational excellence to support the goals.

Job Duties:

· Conduct Improvement Plans with suppliers in order to achieve Quality and On Time Delivery performance goals.

· Develop corrective actions, A3s, 8D reports, and Kaizen events to solve problems affecting supplier performance.

· Evaluate and report monthly KPIs on Suppliers’ performance. Highlight major areas of concern to upper management and recommend/conduct actions to bring performance to an adequate level.

· Perform on-site audits at the suppliers.

· Establish appropriate communication process with suppliers, including the promotion of regular conference calls and site visits to communicate and/or evaluate current performance and improvement plans.

· Improve and strengthen the relationship with suppliers.

· Develop Supplier Risk Management Plans (including assessment, mitigation and contingency plans).

· Conduct Readiness Assessment for programs in series production and development phases.

· Ensure Supplier Business Continuity Plans are in place and effective.

· Responsible for discrepant items in Material Review Board (MRB) and ensuring any supplier related non-conforming material is returned to the supplier for evaluation and corrective action in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
