Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women's health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.
Overview
HHC is hiring a Supervisor Athletic Trainer at Quinnipiac.
- Anticipated start date: Immediately
- Anticipated hours of coverage: full time, must be able to work nights and weekends, Travel expected
Manages a work area or specific function to ensure that a high quality, cost-effective product or service is delivered.
Contributes to the development of meaningful goals and objectives for the department that align with the strategic direction of the organization by analyzing needs and developing recommendations. Helps communicate the goals and objectives to the staff and monitors progress during the year.
Provides injury assessment, treatment, management and rehabilitation services for student-athletes. Assists coaches, team physicians and Head Athletic Trainer with the design and implementation of injury prevention programs, including injury recognition, evaluation and management. Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing University, conference and the NCAA, including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.
Flexibility for coverage during weekdays (Monday-Friday, starting at 2pm) as well as weekends is required.
Locations include: Enfield, Granby, Wethersfield, Glastonbury, West Hartford, Avon, South Windsor and Windham.

The successful candidate will:
- Possess leadership skills.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as function strongly within a team environment.
- Be able to function successfully with physicians and other members of Allied Health Care team and be comfortable in a matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.
- Display strong customer service skills and aptitude and be able to represent both clinic and practice in a positive manner outside of the clinic and within the community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- CT licensure and current NATABOC Certification in good standing.
- Current First Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR Certification.
- Basic computer and other technological skills.
- Be able to work evenings, weekends and some holiday hours may be required.
