Major Responsibilities:Quality/Clinical Excellence: Performs quality assessment and improvement activities for surgical services through MBSAQIP Registry.
Quality/Clinical Excellence: Performs quality assessment and improvement activities for surgical services through the ACS~MBSAQIP database.
1) Ability to communicate and interact with all members of the surgical team, administrative staff and the patients/patient families in a professional and courteous manner
2)Demonstrates competent computer and Internet skills. MS Office products (Excel (QI Macros), Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) is essential and evaluated.
3)Ability to utilize P/I, Quality Assurance skills and tools, including statistical knowledge.

Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree. 2-3 years perioperative experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Ability to communicate and interact with all members of the surgical team, administrative staff and the patients/patient families in a professional and courteous manner • Computer and Internet skills and experience required. Familiarity with MS Office products (Excel (QI Macros), Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc) is essential • Database entry and/or management experience preferred • Statistical knowledge preferred • Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience preferred • Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required • Good time management and organizational skills- to prioritize and meet deadlines • Must be detailed oriented and pay attention to accuracy • Previous research and medical studies management is preferred
