SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties in the obstetrical area supportive to the delivery of quality patient care. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Complies with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school graduate and/or GED equivalent.

· Completion of an accredited or military Surgical Technology Program.

· Sufficient strength to lift moderately heavy objects.

· Ability to understand and execute both verbal and written orders.

· Ability to maintain required records and give verbal and written reports.

· Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with patients, physicians, other Medical Center employees, and the general public.

· Must obtain BLS certification upon start of position and must maintain certification per AHA guidelines.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Certification or eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technician from the National Association of Certified Surgical Technology preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.73 - $23.89 per hour
