Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Under the supervision of an RN, assists in the delivery of age specific patient care, assists patients with activities of daily living, and provides basic nursing care.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment and promotes the efficiency of the nursing team.
  • Is actively involved in the therapeutic milieu and treatment planning.
  • Assists in the preparation of the operating room to receive the surgical patient. Ensure appropriate instrumentation is present.
  • Anticipates the needs of the surgeon before and during the surgical procedure.
  • Supports direct patient care activities by performing clerical and receptionist functions and communicates with all persons involved in unit operations.
  • Supports System and Nursing Strategic Plans, Relationship-Based Care, And Shared Leadership.

What You Need to Be Successful:
  • Proof of Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program is REQUIRED for this position. Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Meets requirements to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Maryland.
