This individual will assist the Energy and Sustainability Manager by evaluating, estimating, and planning energy related projects or upgrades to equipment at Kwik Trip, Inc. facilities. They will also provide support/knowledge as it pertains to Kwik Trip’s Sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Auditing of Kwik Trip’s current assets to look for equipment upgrade opportunities in an attempt to increase performance and reduce electric consumption
• Researching viable energy management projects and preparing documentation on energy saving proposals or upgrades to equipment and facilities
• Analyzing and reporting monthly energy data in a meaningful way for decisions to be made based on data
• Support evaluation of environmental, energy and corporate social responsibility portfolio and identify opportunities to support Kwik Trip’s sustainability objectives and initiatives
• Contribute to the development and deployment of communications, outreach and training resources, including webinars, in-person events and other opportunities related to sustainability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Science, Energy Analyst, Sustainability or related field of study. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• At least 2 years of related experience with a focus on design/construction of energy efficiency building projects and Sustainability best practices.
• Experience with data management processes and technology.

Candidates should possess knowledge of the following:

• Types of motors and technology in a production environment.
• Peak demand control strategies and the best practice for implementing these strategies.
• Viable energy management projects.
• Document preparation for energy saving projects completed to equipment.
• Microsoft software suite of products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, Project, etc.).

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours, or as needed to perform duties.
