Job description

We are looking for several enthusiastic, energetic individuals who enjoy teaching people (children – adults) of various ages, abilities, and comfort levels how to swim.

Our swim lesson program is now accredited in partnership with the Starfish Aquatic Institute, a nationally renowned developmental swim curriculum and progression. USA Swimming also approves our curriculum! Greenville County Aquatic Complex offers Star Babies and Star Tots – a Parent/Child swim program for children 6 months to 36 months old, Starfish Swim School for youth ages 3 – 12 years old, and Adult lessons for individuals 13 years old and older.

Our classes are typically scheduled weekday afternoons (in the summer), evenings, and Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Individuals should be at least 15 years old and possess knowledge of basic water skills to advanced competitive swimming skills. (Individuals will receive training in our Swim School curriculum.)
• Previous experience (6 months) and/or Swim Instructor certification preferred.
• Candidates are required to become certified in CPR/AED and First Aid after hire. Training provided by GCPRT.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with parents, staff, and patrons as well as to complete required class documentation both timely and accurately.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $12.24 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
