Our Syndicate Trading Assistant will work on the syndicate desk in the New York Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team. The DCM group markets, structures and executes fixed income related transactions on behalf of issuers. The group works closely with Banking, Leveraged Finance, and Derivatives teams to recommend and execute transactions for the Bank’s clients across the credit spectrum.
Here’s what you can expect:
As the Syndicate Trading Assistant you will be responsible for booking all tickets on primary offerings, run hedge books on transactions reconcile order books with syndicate members, and maintain up-to-date transaction details / pricing information. You will liaise with counterparts at joint book running banks to confirm allocations, B&D’s, and trade bookings as well as process new issues trades and ensure accurate trade capture and P&L. You will also be responsible for technology build out on syndicate desk, including building an in-house book builder, connection with Direct Books, Bloomberg.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $110,000 and $150,000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

- FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses required. A contingency period to obtain licensing can be provided at manager’s discretion.

- Strong Windows capabilities; Excel and Word.
- Ability to provide analytical support whenever needed.
