A Systems Analyst II contributes to the build, test, implementation and maintenance of healthcare computer systems. As a member of the application architecture team you will focus on projects which complement or are indirectly related to our Epic healthcare system. These projects will include interfaces between various systems and Epic, enterprise-wide applications such as document management as well as small development projects which solve specific business problems.
You will also be involved with our SQL Server infrastructure from a planning perspective as well as basic database administration. The variety of projects allows a given analyst’s role to change over time and minimize job stagnation. It also has allowed us to attract a talent pool with many different backgrounds, and does not limit us to those that have healthcare experience. Responsibilities:

:
- Conducts software design, development and maintenance of utilities and applications to solve specific business problems.
- Planning, development and support for application interfaces with Epic
- Provide training and coaching to other members of the IT department (including Analysts I and II).
- Assisting in planning/analyzing of high-level software strategies & solutions through functional and technical expertise including planning/managing upgrades.
- Participating in implementing technical infrastructure, including networks, platforms and servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security and operations management.
- Interact directly with other team members, physicians, and end-users, in order to understand business problems and help to identify solutions.
- Working with end-users to help them understand the defined workflows and system functionality.
- Working with end-users and other team members to identify when new workflows or functionality is required to meet their individual needs.
- Identifying, analyzing, escalating and resolving critical initiative risks and issues.
- Defining and communicating project standards and guidelines around the applications and workflows.
- Documenting system requirements, release notes, test plans, training documentation, etc. as required by our project delivery methodology.
- Coordinate with other support and technical teams within DMG (i.e. compliance, patient accounts).
- Ensure that every business customer that approaches IT has a positive experience.
- Focus on continuous improvement within the IT department
The Experiences You Bring
:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an IT application development role
- Software development experience with Microsoft tools (e.g. .Net Framework (2.0, 3.0, 3.5), C#, ASP.Net, TFS & SQL Server)
- Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, IIS, SharePoint Server and/or BizTalk not required but beneficial
- Experience with process improvements
- Healthcare experience a plus
