Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support the Weather Systems Branch of the Digital Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA.

• BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
• Hardware integration and/or networking experience is highly desired.
• Experience with Automatic Weather Systems operation and maintenance highly desired.
• Experience with maintaining mechanical and electrical systems desired.
• DoD Directive 8570 certification (Information Assurance) desired.
• Demonstrated characteristics of a self-starter who is able to work independently and effectively interact with program team members and senior leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Candidate must have an active US security clearance.
• Candidate must be a US citizen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for systems engineering activities in the development, test, production, and sustainment of USAF Weather systems.
• Participate in studies and analyses to develop and verify operational and technical requirements for future weather systems.
• Develop formal contract documentation to establish technical requirements for system integration, verification, and sustainment. Perform technical evaluations of proposals and provide recommendations to the USAF.
• Perform technical planning activities to ensure systems engineering processes are properly applied throughout the system's life cycle. Validate compliance with established processes.
• Support Government efforts to ensure delivered capabilities support cost, schedule, and performance goals of the program manager. Provide engineering support to source selections for new systems and upgrades.
• Oversee contractor execution of engineering processes to ensure compliance with best practices and contract requirements.
• Participate in formal technical reviews and technical interchange meetings with system developers. Provide technical evaluations of analyses and tradeoff activities, assessments of contractor technical efforts, and recommendations to the USAF Program Office.
