Roles & Responsibilities

Services:

• Battery Testing and Characterization

o Drive efforts to continuously improve and optimize the Test Plans, including enabling more automated portions of the executions via hardware or software additions.

o Be responsible for testing and qualifying the Li-Ion batteries for our fleet of autonomous vehicles. Execute the Tests from end to end and document and deliver the results.

o Operate the test equipment required to execute the Test Plans, which includes but is not limited to an industrial thermal chamber, electronic loads, probes, and power supplies.

* Vehicle Systems Test Engineer

o Execute in-vehicle or test bench tests following a list of Test Plans. These tests require the ability to follow customer safety policies to operate the vehicle and in some cases drive it in a Closed Course.

o Analyze the data from the test, which can include analysis of vehicle logs or other data acquisition sources.

o Update the Test Plans as needed, collaborate with other engineers and teams to provide solutions to improve or automate the procedures.

o Document and communicate the results to other Systems and Test Engineers.

* Electrical and Power Systems Test Engineer

o Collaborate on and assemble electrical test platforms that use power equipment including, but not limited to, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes and low voltage batteries.

o Program power devices to enable automated testing of the test platforms mentioned above.

o Build, design, and use test fixtures to be utilized in a lab, including, but not limited to, wiring, fixtures, harnessing to test customer specific Hardware.

o Write Test Plans to test specific components or features, execute them, document and communicate the results.

• Platform HIL (Hardware In Loop) Technician

o Collaborate on and assemble test platforms - Help to build, design, and use test fixtures to be utilized in a lab, including, but not limited to, wiring, fixtures, and cooling to test customer specific Hardware.

o Design and assemble wire harnesses

o Capture, escalate, and diagnose hardware and software issues encountered when commissioning and maintaining test platforms

 Operate the Platform HIL and execute tests on it.

Deliverables:

* Battery Testing and Characterization

o Complete the qualification of all batteries within the given timeline, typically provided as the number of batteries tested per week.

 Document and communicate the test results with the corresponding teams.

o Vehicle Systems Test Engineer:

 Execute the list of provided Test Plan within the given timeline.

 Test Execution reports following the Test Plan’s Acceptance Criteria. This includes any additional necessary documentation that is required by the Test Plan, including data analyses, reports, pictures, presentations, spreadsheets or documents.

o All the other Services:

 Complete the design, build, and commissioning of the test infrastructure given the specifications and timelines.

 All spreadsheets, reports, work orders, analyses, schedules, reports, process flows, operating procedures, presentations, and documentation which support those Services.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,579.38 - $130,000.00 per year
