The SSSD Resiliency Technology & Products Operating Unit provides capabilities, technologies, services and payloads across Space Sectors, supporting every program phase from resiliency analysis, architecture design, mission conops as well as design and integration.

RT&P is seeking an Interface and Accommodation Systems Engineer to help with development, maintenance, and selloff of payload to spacecraft interface requirements. Responsibilities include participating in spacecraft to payload interface working group meetings and other interaction with spacecraft systems engineers to assure the successful integration of a critical payload on the spacecraft. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced rapid development environment.

Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline

  • Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S. Government security clearances:

  • Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years OR

  • Dept. of Energy Q clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years

  • Candidate must have already passed a CI polygraph exam

  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain & maintain SAP access


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering

  • Experience working on aircraft or spacecraft systems

  • Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements

  • Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering

  • Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration

  • Experience using DOORS, Cameo

  • Strong people skills

  • Excellent communication skills (upward and downward)

Salary Range: $85,000 USD - $127,400 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
