Job description

The senior tax accountant is responsible for organizing and managing client assignments and projects, including the completion of assigned tasks and project components, as well as working with team members to meet client and self-development expectations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and manage tax compliance engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards, within budget and deadline expectations

· Prepare tax research, tax communications, and other requested deliverables

· Communicate proactively with clients and engagement partners regarding project status, client service opportunities, and other significant matters in a timely manner

· Participate in firm initiatives and projects

· Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas

· Prepare accurate tax returns in a timely manner

· Provide exceptional customer service to all clients

· Ensure client confidentiality and privacy

· Perform other tax services and duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required, Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred

· 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting with a tax focus

· Technical knowledge of tax concepts and the ability to apply these services to various client situations

· Analytical, creative approach to effectively manage engagements and guide decision-making process

· Excellent client service with an ability to expand services with existing clients

· Strong problem solving, communication, organizational and time management skills

· Ability to use complex tax systems including Lacerte, and time and billing software

· Proficiency in QuickBooks® strongly preferred

· Mastery of Microsoft Office and firm software applications needed for day-to-day completion of work assignments

· Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,407.20 - $130,000.00 per year
