Reports to: Accounting Manager

Position Summary ‐ The Tax Accountant, as part of the accounting team, is responsible for timely reporting and filing of various tax and business filings. Tax accountant will collaborate with management, other accountants, external consulting firms, internal compliance department, and partner practices to assist with tax and business reporting, as needed.

Measures of Success: Timely and accurate filing of tax and business filings

Primary Duties:

• Properly research and seek the advice of management when assisting in tax filings
• Provide support and data to external tax consultants
• Cash to accrual conversion of financial statements
• File monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue-based tax returns online (MN, WA, etc)
• File and renew business licenses for various entities
• Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns for A/P check requests
• Assist in determining the proper filing schedule based on available information for new acquisitions
• Calculate the monthly Admin Services Agreement fee (“ASA”)
• NetSuite Accounting System:
• Examine and provide Financial Statement data to management and external tax consultants
• Record tax payments and accruals in the General Ledger

General:

• Intermediate understanding of Excel
• Answers telephone and email messages timely
• Keep thorough audit and supporting records
• Implement feedback and changes whenever possible
• Other duties as assigned by Manager
• Work collaboratively with others while following the USOSM POWER model.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
• Experience at tax firm or related industry, preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Time management and organizational skills
• Critical thinking skills
