TELEWORK
This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a part of the division’s Border and Permian Basin-Laredo team, our Administrative Assistant III will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:
- Provide routine administrative support for the Laredo Regional Office.
- Assimilate information and/or data; prepare reports, notice of violation documents, correspondence, and/or travel vouchers.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls, take messages, provide basic program information, and/or refers calls as appropriate.
- Prepare, process and/or distribute routine and/or special correspondence, reports, forms, and documents.
- Collect time sheets for the section and ensures administrative completeness.
- Sort, file, and distribute incoming mail to appropriate staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus one year of full-time experience providing administrative and/or clerical support in an office setting.
Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience developing or maintaining databases and/or spreadsheets.
- Experience answering, screening, and/or routing telephone calls.
