We are looking for a Team Lead, Front End Engineering to join our Technology department who is passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. To be successful in this role you will need to be motivated and excited to take responsibility for large parts of our applications as well as be a technical leader for the rest of the software development team. Position Duties:

• Be responsible for hiring, development, performance management, and professional development of direct reports
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, and architects in conceptualizing and developing new software applications and enhancements
• Contribute to and drive evolution of Motus' Engineering environment
• Analyze applications and make necessary changes to optimize solutions
• Participate in the creation of new guidelines and procedures
• Accurately estimate work/time required to complete tasks
• Assist with the creation of project plans
• Work with support from the Engineering leadership to escalate issues and remove roadblocks that affect team productivity
• Constantly strive to optimize the team for efficient execution
• Provide technical oversight, guidance, and mentorship to your team

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Front End Development
• Preferably 1-2 years' experience in leadership position
• Strong proficiency in React and JavaScript
• Thorough understanding of React.js and it's core principals
• Familiarity with EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g. Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Experience working in a Scrum environment and working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience developing in a team environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously.
