Position Summary: The Team Shop Associate is a part-time position that works in the Team Shop in the Mountain America Community Iceplex which is adjacent to Mullett Arena. Team Shop Associate is responsible for the Team Shop environment, sales, inventory control, and other duties as assigned.
- Provide professional communication with customers, partners, and fellow employees.
- Bring an enthusiastic attitude every shift.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer and display proper cash handling methods.
- Receive online orders and pack merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized Point-of-Sale area including drawers and shelves.
- Maintain a clean and organized tool bench/service work area.
- Clean skate sharpener daily.
- Be willing to learn how to sharpen hockey and figure skates, as requested.
- Wipe down all Pro Shop surfaces including windows daily.
- Restock merchandise daily such as apparel, laces, tape, pucks, skate socks, hockey socks, practice jerseys, jocks, etc.
- Merchandise all product in an organized and attractive manner.
- Properly label products.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of products.
- Assist with the Skate Rental Room, as requested.
- Assist as a Skate Guard (only if can skate), as requested.
- Answer phone calls and provide knowledgeable information to customers.
- Make quick decisions and exercise good judgment. Must demonstrate actions in a variety of circumstances, including emergency situations.
- Display self-motivation.
- Demonstrate sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- A strong understanding for the importance of job execution is necessary along with taking responsibility for decision-making.
