RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for defining and gaining consensus on project scope and objectives, creating project work plans, facilitating scrum and status meetings, and ensuring continuous alignment across the project team members and leaders
• Automates the tracking and publishing of performance results across software builds and releases to ensure high-quality releases
• Identifies and manages project risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, dependencies, and change requests; leads mitigation and resolution efforts to limit risks, escalates as needed
• Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule
• Manages communications and reports project status on a regular basis, acting as a translator between the business and technical community
• Works with architects to design business solutions by applying the right technology; and works with project team to document business processes and requirements that can be used for development, as appropriate
• Responsible for ensuring all steps in client's agile based SDLC are executed
• Acts as the scrum master for their projects/workstreams, and coordinates across many cross functional project resources
• Oversees client/customer/vendor relations to ensure that service expectations are met or exceeded
• Assists in establishing, enabling, and improving project management and software development methodologies, procedures, and policies
• Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration, or related field with at least 8 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 5 years of experience in leading large-scale system implementation efforts using a standard software development lifecycle approach
• Enterprise level database systems experience with SQL Server/PostgreSQL/Greenplum/Relational DB as well as NoSQL DBs (Couchbase experience preferred)
• Strong project management, leadership, and organization skills (scrum certification desired)
• Knowledge of common Project Management and Software Development Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) and understands the strengths and weaknesses of each methodology
• Has foundational experience playing a contributing role in full cycle software delivery as a business analyst, developer, or database level expert (previous database development experience preferred)
• At least 2-3 years of experience working with technology vendors
