SUMMARY

Bethel environmental consulting and engineering services provides solution-based consulting, engineering, and construction services, predominately to Federal clients. Our firm is built on the professional capabilities and skills of our employees. As such, we seek "team-players" who share our passion for technical excellence and superior client service. We are seeking a Technical Editor to assist in the execution and completion of various projects; especially to review editing and verify the accuracy of content for various types of publications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Editing, formatting, and production of project work plans, reports, and other documents.
    • Edit for grammar, style, and clarity.
    • Edit documents for consistency, including reviewing figures, tables, appendices, and reference lists.
    • Format and edit documents in accordance with internal- and client-specific requirements using MS Word templates.
    • Produce PDFs for client submission. Produce printed deliverables as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with environmental consulting and remediation industry preferred
  • Familiarity with Federal contracting requirements and standards, especially for DoD clients

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in standard American English grammar, spelling, and technical writing.
  • Highly skilled in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. MS Word knowledge should include operating with document templates, managing styles (including document, list, and table styles), and operating with document fields for document structure, captions, tables of contents, and cross-referencing.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Prioritizes incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
