The role of Technical Lead (QA) is to contribute to the testing of wireless telecom and cloud-based solutions of parallel wireless.
The work location is in Nashua, NH and would involve working with the test engineers across other parallel wireless sites in addition to the local team in Nashua, NH. This offers an opportunity to learn and contribute to the ORAN wireless technology.

What you'll do:

    • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback and implement the same in testing.
    • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for LTE/5G technologies as per 3GPP specifications and execution of the same.
    • Design and build end to end test setups based on the test requirements.
    • Analyze the debug logs for test simulators and system under test and identify issues during the test cycle.
    • Resolve issues in end-to-end setups (For Ex: UE/mobile issues, cabling, RF/fiber connectivity, etc.) with minimal supervision.
    • Analyze, reproduce and validate customer found defects.

What you must have:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communications/Computer Science Engineering.
    • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
    • Good understanding of architecture, call flows and design for testing LTE/5G access technologies.
    • Thorough understanding of 3GPP standards covering PHY, MAC, PDCP, RLC, RRC, S1AP and X2AP protocols.
    • Ability to create test scripts as per the requirements and execute the same with both in-house and standard test tools (Ex: Azimuth, TM500, Amarisoft, network/spectrum analyzers, etc.).
    • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, Ethernet cabling, basic IP addressing/routing, and networking.
    • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX based platforms.
    • Knowledge of handling and troubleshooting User Equipment's (Mobiles), SIM installation, etc.
    • Good understanding of virtualization platforms like VMware, KVM, etc.
    • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Need to be self-motivating and driven. Ability to Iearn quickly, perform tasks with moderate supervision, and have strong debug skills.
    • Experience in using test management and bug tracking tools (Ex: JIRA)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Qualification:

    • Knowledge on OpenStack, Docker and Kubernetes technologies.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl
    • Familiarity with SON functionalities.
