Job description

The position is a full-time, non-exempt, onsite position with an eight-hour workday.
Reporting to the Director of IT and Facilities, the Technical Support Specialist (TSS) will be responsible for onsite support and maintenance of office technology and will collaborate with the Office Manager to provide facilities-related support.

  • Office Technology: The TSS will provide onsite support and maintenance of our workstation and conference room technology and audio-visual systems. In addition, the TSS will partner with our managed service provider and the IT Team to provide tier 1 desktop support to our onsite staff.
  • Facilities: The TSS will partner with the Office Manager to support and maintain a high functioning office environment.

GENERAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports users of conference room technology, including video conferencing and network connections
  • Supports users of laptops at workstations, including tier 1 desktop support.
  • Maintains onsite office technology, including workstations, copiers, printers, audio-visual equipment, digital signage, space reservation systems, door access systems, and other systems related to the facility.
  • Partners with Director of IT and Facilities to create and provide office technology training to staff
  • Contributes to creating high-quality shared office environments, standards, procedures, and controls
  • Maintains office and facilities asset management, including regularly scheduled review of inventory and technical documentation
  • Participates in office technology vendor communication, technology review and evaluation, and relationship management
  • Prepares written documentation of systems and processes, including training materials.
  • Motivated to grow professional and technical skills through continuous learning, including staying current with best practices in office technology
  • Maintains positive professional relationships via email, MS Teams, phone, and in-person with staff, donors, and guests, and maintains confidentiality when needed
  • Partners with office manager to maintain facility and provides backup coverage at the reception desk when necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned
