Technical Writer

Lionbridge is seeking a motivated technical writer who will be responsible for obtaining document content through research, investigation, interviews, and direct observation.

What You Will Do

  • Support for process and equipment documentation as well as operations documentation.
  • Support all activities surrounding the creation, editing and formatting for other documentation as determined by client, including, but not limited to documentation supporting local products and process development operations.
  • Provide change management and documentation management required for documentation as determined by the project lifecycle.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of key client business systems (i.e. Document vaulting, change management, templates) and use the effectively to deliver necessary documentation to customers.
  • Obtain, synthesize, and incorporate information into schedules, timelines, and action plans to ensure document delivery that meets client needs.
  • Adhere to established documentation conventions such as the style sheets, style guides, client style conventions, etc. as mutually defined.
  • Communicate project status to client management.
  • Remain flexible to meet SME requests that come in for support during the off-shift.

  • Ability to understand complex technical processes, and to resolve technical ambiguity and other issues through consultation with the appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Set up own workspace, loading/unloading software, and general problem-solving.
  • Strong background with the use of the Microsoft Word application.
  • Communicate with subject matter experts and convert knowledge received to client standards.
