This position will be open to Internal TECO team members for a minimum of 7 days from the date posted.
This position pays a minimum salary of $62,200.00. It may be increased based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
POSITION CONCEPT
These positions support administration, configuration, data administration, and testing of computer systems and applications core to Electric Delivery (ED).
OVERVIEW OF PROGRESSION
The Technology Analyst Progression is comprised of six (6) job titles:
- Technology Analyst I
- Technology Analyst II
- Senior Technology Analyst I
- Senior Technology Analyst II
- Lead Technology Analyst
- Technology Consultant
Each position in this progression is described in more detail on the following pages.
LEVEL: Technology Analyst I
SCOPE: Works under direct supervision and the guidance of more senior staff on routine assignments; follows established policies and procedures.
POSITION CONCEPT
Responsible for the support, administration, configuration, data administration, and testing of computer systems and applications core to Electric Delivery (ED). Works closely with customers and technical staff to deliver solutions that meet the current and future business goals of Electric Delivery, in alignment with company strategies and business plans. Facilitates the optimization of departmental performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and technology. Serves as a liaison between ED and those who develop systems and provide technical support for systems, namely programming staff and software vendors.
Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications, and manages changes to such specifications. Formulates and defines scope and objectives for assigned projects. Leads or participates on software implementation projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learns and performs basic configuration and tests computer-based applications which support ED. (20%)
- Creates reports, queries and data extracts of limited diversity, providing data to users as requested. Monitors supported applications to ensure data integrity and accuracy. (30%)
- Assists higher level Technology Analysts in assignments or projects providing input related to definition of requirements and recommendations of appropriate solutions. (15%)
- Serves as a liaison between ED and other technical groups. Develops relationships with key customers including face-to-face, on-site interactions. Conducts meetings and communicates with end-users and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information and updates. (10%)
- Builds a thorough understanding of supported business areas and current and future processes. (25%)

Key External: Interfaces with information technology vendor representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Preferred: An Associate’s Degree in business or related technology is desirable and may be considered in lieu of some related experience.

Related Experience
Required: Minimum of two (2) years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position is required. Related experience consists of: operations support working in WORKPro/GIS, performing report writing, data extracts, queries and analysis.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: Knowledge of end-user support or process analysis related to GIS, WMS, EMS or OMS. Knowledge of work flows in applicable systems with ability to understand and document baseline test results. Must have solid interpersonal and communication skills to build and foster relationships with ED clients.
Preferred: Standard Query Language (SQL), Report Writing Tool, Oracle PLSQL Developer and the ability to create GIS Ad Hoc queries.
