We have a full-time Teller opportunity at our Intercourse Branch. If you are a seasoned Teller we would love to speak to you. A minimum of one year experience is preferred.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The teller receives and pays out money, as well as accurately keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution's various transactions. The teller responds to questions concerning customer accounts, both in-person and on the phone, and meets the needs of customers by providing quality service.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit.
  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation

requirements and complete hold notices.

  • Process savings withdrawals. Cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity.
  • Identify counterfeit currency.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Recognize opportunities to refer clients for additional products.
  • Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
  • Count and roll loose coins.
  • Issues cashier’s checks.
  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
  • Close accounts when requested.
  • Adherence to destruction procedures for confidential shred materials.
  • Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks.
  • Maintain appropriate currency logs.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures
  • Accurately and independently count currency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one year experience as a Bank Teller is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to read, write, and speak using the English language.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Bank Teller and/or customer service.
