The Temporary Maintenance Worker is responsible for removing snow and ice from assigned commercial roofs and/or walkways.

• The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physical condition and strength, along with good balance are essential.
• Must be able to work at heights and in cold, icy conditions.
• Applicant must possess basic knowledge of methods, techniques, materials, and equipment used in general maintenance and snow removal.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain small and mid-sized tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and schedules.

• Dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
• Remove snow using a shovel or snow blower for several hours at a time depending on the amount of snow accumulation.
• Operate small equipment and hand tools such as shovels, picks, etc.
• Safely handle tools and work equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and best practices using protective equipment as required.
• Ability to work with others and deal courteously and effectively with the public.
• Perform tasks with minimal or no supervision.
• Have regular, reliable and predictable attendance at work.

• Other duties assigned by the Maintenance Director or designee.
