The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales in the assigned region, creating lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships with accounts and Distributors and maintaining the integrity and values of Golden State Cider & Seismic Brewing Co. This includes direct account responsibility for key on and off-premise accounts, securing new business in existing and new accounts focusing on chains.


Job Responsibilities:

Activities of this position are to include but are not restricted to:

  • Distributor management to include maintaining annual business plans, creating and managing incentives, assisting with distributor ordering and inventory, and holding distributor meetings as required
  • Aggressively pursue new on and off-premise distribution and chains in assigned region
  • Manage Retail Sales Associates as assigned
  • Call on existing key accounts to secure new distribution, making timely presentations and introducing new and "limited release" cider on draft as well as packaged retail
  • Execute on and off-premise promotions and periodic special events that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling as planned by the Company
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with account staff and distributor sales personnel
  • Train accounts as well as distributors on our products and provide retail educational and training at the account level
  • Travel to company sales meetings; participate in market blitzes in other territories, and otherwise work with other members of the team to execute/achieve the sales plan
  • Complete necessary administrative reporting and communications on a timely basis daily and weekly
  • Maintain all sales goals outlined to you and your territory
  • Night and weekend accounts visits, and event attendance as directed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years prior sales experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Knowledge of competitive market environment
  • Proficiency with personal computers/laptops and associated programs

  • Must have a reliable vehicle that is registered and insured, a valid driver's license with clean driving record, and the ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Regular travel within the territory (90%) and occasional travel outside the territory (10%)
  • Must be able to perform physical activities which include, but are not limited to, lifting, bending over, kneeling, twisting, climbing on ladders, stooping, crouching, and routinely lifting up to 50 lbs., and occasionally more
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
