Major Responsibilities / Activities

• Provide weekly individual, family, and group counseling sessions for each resident.
• Provide credentialed insight into the mental health status and needs of each resident within the assigned caseload
• Creation of initial and ongoing treatment plans for assigned residents.
• Ensure the entire treatment team and youth coaches are aware of the treatment needs of residents.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and clinical best practices regarding documentation, treatment plans, client record keeping, report writing, etc.
• Participate in a therapeutic team
• Participation in the on-call rotation schedule.

Physically capable of being TCI-certified and performing physical interventions safely, if needed.

Very sharp thinking and problem-solving skills as will be determined by the ability to quickly re-direct from roadblocks or hurdles that may prevent them from accomplishing tasks and the capability to explain program philosophy and methodology to parents with a customer focus.

Travel

Travel includes driving locally as determined by the needs of the residents. This could involve travel to medical appointments or hospitality sites in neighboring counties. Travel to major airports in IL or IN may also be required, as may overnight travel for training opportunities.

Physical and Visual Acuity Requirements

The physical requirement of this position is defined as Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

The visual acuity requirements needed to perform this position include having close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and reading

Required Education and Experience

Masters's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, and eligible for licensure.

3+ years experience working with youth or mentoring youth with behavioral challenges

Preferred Education and Experience

LCSW, LMHC

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must have the ability to coach, teach, and mentor youth and families both in person and via phone or video
• Must demonstrate a proactive work ethic to see needs and meet them
