Toddler Teacher

We are a quality, learning oriented pre-school located in the Smyrna/Mableton area.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist lead teacher in developing lesson plans and ensuring that the curriculum is being implemented daily
• ensuring that a quality learning environment, including positive classroom management, is maintained
• being extremely attentive to the needs of children in the classroom and the preschool overall.
• being creative and working with the lead teacher to keep classroom displays and bulletin boards current based on themes/seasons/holidays, etc.
• supporting the pre-school’s reputation of providing exceptional customer service to parents and exemplary care and learning for children.
• maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming classroom daily
• being professional at all times (both in appearance and interactions)
• being dependable, arriving to work daily, on-time and ready for an incredible day

Ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:

• must be patient, loving, have experience and enjoy working with young children
• must be dependable, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player
• must be nurturing, energetic and learning oriented
• must have prior experience in a quality, licensed preschool or school system.
• must be familiar with Bright from the Start rules and regulations.
• must possess the ability to effectively interact with parents regarding their child’s day and address concerns.
• must have classroom management skills
• must possess excellent decision-making skills
• must have excellent teaching ability
• must have excellent communication skills (oral, written and non-verbal)
• must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC), Associate Degree or higher.
• must be able to obtain a satisfactory, comprehensive finger-prints background check
• must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Early Childhood General Education Teachers: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
